Webcomic Rundown #1 - HOOVES OF DEATH, SHILOH, MUTED
(By Melody Werner)
Hey, everyone, so a new segment here that I'm bringing over from Comic Versus. Albeit this one's been heavily revised and streamlined.
Basically, I'll pick three comics on Line Webtoon. They all have three "episodes" respectively to gain my interest. I will then report my findings to you and let you know if I would continue reading them (full thoughts to come in full reviews, if I do follow through with a series that was initially spotlit here). I'll also be dropping three recommendations for webcomics I've already decided I enjoy and would recommend. So, without further ado...

#1 ELF & WARRIOR by AC Stuart & Victor Rosas II
#2 LACKADAISY by Tracy Butler
#3 WITCH CREEK ROAD by Garth Matthams & Kenan Halilovic
3 WEBCOMICS
3 EPISODES
3 MINIATURE FIRST IMPRESSIONS

UNICORNS VS. ZOMBIES
#1 HOOVES OF DEATH by Sam Bragg 👍
So... I think I'm supposed to say this has no right being as good as it is, but it has every right. You can make a good comic out of just about any subject, and HoD has some great, cartoony artwork and fun characters. I particularly enjoy the inventive panel layouts. Probably one of Line Webtoon's better action/comedy's, I'd say.
If I had to rate it now...: 9/10

#2 SHILOH by Kit Trace & Kate Flynn 👍
This. Kicks. ASS! Love it. Phenomenal art style, panel layout, strong writing, solid lettering. Some wonky visual storytelling at times, but incredibly impressive otherwise.
If I had to rate it now...: 9.5/10

#3 MUTED by Miranda Mundt 👍
Really interesting start to things. Nice, cartoony art with flashy panel layouts. Great visual storytelling, strong character designs. You can tell though that there are some panel elements that you aren't meant to look at too closely, like cars, which is where the art drops off a bit. I do like the romantic hints in the first part. Definitely has a lot of potential, so I will be keeping tabs on it.
If I had to rate it now...: 8.5/10
