Speaking Easy - Christopher Tremoglie Doesn't Appear to Know Anything About Recent Pop Stars
(By Melody Werner)
Google's algorithms are wild, y'all. That it thinks an ancom queerbo wants to read an article from the boomers at the Washington Examiner is hilarious to me. But this time, I decided to humor a nasty, pathetic little headline. Christopher Tremoglie is the author here, and as I expected from this publication, he's another white chud crying about white persecution when a BIPOC says anything involving their lived experiences in Amerikkka. Look, I am white too, and I think you're just a fucking loser, Chrissie Poo.
Why, you may ask. Well, in case you missed it, Olivia Rodrigo is a Filipino American who said something about race so now this cur feels the burning desire to debunk it. This is Tremoglie's idea of a big problem, I guess. Essentially, Olivia was pointing out the dearth of BIPOC in mainstream pop during the oughts, when she grew up. As Tremoglie is keen to point out, there are exceptions to that--but only when you talk about adult artists, and lots of them were erroneously labeled as other """urban""" genres besides pop, such as R&B. However, she specifically said she didn't imagine as a girl that anyone but a white girl could make it in pop in America. I'd like to see a 17 year old pop star from the 2000's as big as Olivia is now, and who isn't white either. Didn't exist, sorry, dweeb. She actually knows recent pop stars better than your dumbass.
It's funny, this guy purports to be a foreign policy expert, but all I see is another white weakling losing the culture war.
